A disappointing performance from the Bears who never really threatened the Silsden goal.

Matt Conkie pulled off three or four blinding saves, otherwise it would have been an even heavier defeat.

Congleton had plenty of the ball, but never managed to create a decent scoring chance. We had two good shouts for penalties turned down by the referee - a blatant handbal (defender used his arm to push the ball away) and a foul on Andy Hurst in the last few minutes right on the goal line.

It was one of those days when nothing really went the Bears way and Silsden deserved their victory. At the final whistle you would have thought they had just won the league!
